Reconciliation
To the west
Her stone face
queried the clouds
roaming and roving
“Look at me!
Will you not tremble?”
And
He answered
with the rattle of thunder
a trickle turned
torrent that seeped
into the cracks
and spalled
Jagged rocks tumbled
smooth returned to Earth
Now
rivers and lakes even
the once pocked mountain
and the green
of old growth trees
saddle the streams
